My wife decided she wanted to try deer hunting this year So I put up a 2 person tree stand and told her to pick a gun in the safe to hunt with . She would have nothing to do with a rifle and wanted to use her mossberg SA-20 I learned long ago not to push her and said ok and sighted the gun in for 50 yds . The very first day of gun season at 7:30 am 2 does walked behind the stand about 40 yds away and I told her to take the shot , I saw the deer draw up then run and new it was trouble , sure enough when I found the blood trail I knew it was gut shot . I told her to just set down and chill for a bit but nothing doing she took off on the blood trail and a 500 yd lesson in field craft and tracking began . she jumped twice and I finally got her to just stop and take a break . about an hour later we found it down but not out so she finished it off . Bottom line she had alot of info to digest and things to learn this year but I have a happy wife and that makes a happy life .

Glad it was a successful hunt, even if she had a lot of learning to do!
