    Welcome. I picked up my first MVP a few weeks ago. A 7.62 Patrol. I've really taken a liking to the rifle and have decided to put some money into it. My search for upgraded parts has led me here.

    I am a hunter, reloader, gun guy in general. Always tinkering with whatever weapon seems to be my baby at the moment and for now its the MVP.

    Welcome to the forums. I have to admit as soon as I saw the name I knew you reloaded. As far as upgraded parts ya this is the place to be for the MVP. So how many shots have you put in your MVP so far? And what lead your to the direction of the MVP? I myself saw one at a gun show that was hardly fired and was cheap so I grabbed it. I own the 5.56 version may be some day will own the 7.62 version but would have to sell something to do it as my funds currently are going to having fun at the range (when I have time which isn't often lately due to work/life).

    @Nesereth
    My round count is fairly low on my MVP. Less than 200. Im also getting into reloading 308 for the first time and still getting the rifle set up. Its wearing a 2.5-8x36 BSA 30MM Scope. Im also tryn out the Flaming Pig muzzle device on it (Its slated to go on my SBR 6.8 whenever that happens) but I wanted to see if it really did deflect the blast down range (its ok but... I think I'll stick with the KAK nockoff for the money)

    So how did I end up with a MVP 7.62???
    1) I needed a cheaper deer rifle (to much $$$ in my good one)
    2) Wanted an an accurate 308 and Ive been impressed.
    3) Love the survival, do all ability of the Patrol 7.62. Pretty dang good at hunting or fighting.
    4) The price vs the Ruger Gunsight and others.
    5) Magazines! I already had some M1A and SR25 mags so +++

    Welcome! I took a bit of a gamble on my 7.62 Patrol for many of the same reasons you picked yours. I've been very happy with taking the chance. Great rifle for me so far and it got me introduced to this great forum. It's not a busy one but the information is great and so are the people!

    Yah it gets a little slower in the summer here. Folks are outdoors more in better weather. Things tend to pick up a little more in the winter.
