any suggestions on what kind of slugs to shoot from a 835?
Rifled barrel or smooth bore?

I like Brenneke myself. Absolute freight train performance against bone and organs. Doesn't usually deform much. Works in rifled or smooth bore guns. It's old fashioned but effective every time.
Its a rifled barrel.
Thanks, plan on using it in Mich next fall.
You might want to look at the Hornady slugs then. I don't think they make any for smooth bore but they do for rifled barrels. I believe they are sabot rounds and the pointy polymer tip gives a little more range. Once I get my act together for the slug barrel for my 870 Express, that is the round I'm thinking of going with.
