Hey everyone! Quick question, is the receiver and or bolt forged or cast? Thank you.

The receiver are machined from bar stock billets like Remington and Savage. The bolt head, well I'll have tear mine down and get a look see with the micro scope for the tell tale signs of investment casting like Ruger etc. or of turned from stock.

Bolt heads look machined. Lots of tool marks, no casting lines I could see. Can't see cast bolt heads being a good idea.

Investment casting isn't as sexy as forging but it's ok for the most thing most of the time. Rugers M77 bolt and receiver are two examples of investment casting done well. GE and the others have been making jet turbine blades that way for 60 years.
