Just got a barrel for the 5.56 MVP in today, x-caliber in MT. Under $300.00. Full prefit, 223AI 10tw 24" LV style contour.

Have 3 others, all shoot very well, contoured blanks were bargain priced.

If you want a prefit for your 5.56 MVP they can do it. New web site, don't see the reamer list yet.

Add a vendor if you know of one does prefits.

They just switched over to a new website, I can't find the bore and twist rate or reamer pages. Most are std 6 groove, they do offer 3 groove and 5R in a few bore sizes and twist rates. If you want a prefit 5.56 action MVP barrel that they have the reamer for they can do it, just did one for me. I also bought a 6mm contoured blank that is now 6BR on a Savage that shoots stupid good, and a friend bought a prefit 300WM for a varmint cannon also shoots stupid accurate 110vmax at 4000 FPS. A few months back they were selling contoured blanks for ridiculous low pricing for the quality. Lead times have been very good so far.

Their web site is updated and MVP barrels are now a standard catalog item.

I'm gonna add them to the vendor list.

Good news- Finally got the 223AI 10 twist together and shooting, shoots 53vmax MUCH MUCH MUCH better that the factory tube, accurate fireforming load close to 3400 fps, full load will be probably close to 3700.

Bad news- X-Caliber isn't interested in doing any more full prefits, apparently this platform gives them fits.

Any idea specifically why it gives them fits? It's a flat breech with a barrel nut after all. Super curious.

Fixturing/setup issues. Time is money in a production environment.

Ahh, the machinists dilemma, will it take longer to set up the lathe than the money made from the effort can justify. This is the glitch I'm having everywhere. Black Hole Weaponry, now Columbia River Arms, seems perfectly happy to make them but so far the rest of their answer has been, "...just not right at this moment." Here I am staring a new match season in the face with a well worn barrel. Man I'm tempted to sell this bloody thing and get a Savage. But no. I'll just keep pounding the pavement looking for a new tube.

What chamber you need? Got reamer and go gauge?

Been trying for a 6x45mm though I keep thinking a 6-04 might be neat to try.

6-204 is neat but best to stick to 223 brass IMO. Its harder to throw away more expensive brass when it gets iffy.

Yeah, so far the 222 base case has been a blocker for me trying the -04's. I was really close to having a 7-04 barrel cut at one point.
