Painted my patrol model

    Just finished painting my 5.56 patrol model duracoat desert warrior tan. I noticed after taking the photo the scope rolled over oops! that's fixed now

    Looks good, did you paint the stock too? If not that's a pretty close match to the factory stock.

    I painted the whole rifle it was originally all flat black, I noticed while removing the recoil pad the rear of the stock is wood and covered in plastic the front of the stock appears to be all plastic.

    Good work. Tape off lines are clean. I like that you pulled or covered the sights. Makes it look really proper.

    I don't know why I didn't remember the other pictures you posted. I'm assuming this was a no bake job?

    yes its dura coat no baking dries to the touch in 10 minutes you can reassemble in 24 hours

    the black scope mounts didn't look right to me so I painted them also

    Epoxy coated lighter weight straight grain hard wood near as I can tell. Makes for a nice weather proof stock. Not as light as plastic but W-A-Y stiffer.
