    Hello,

I am new to bolt action rifles and have just purchased a Mossberg Scout .308 and I can't seem to figure the sight picture on it? If I put the front sight in the middle of the rear sight (ring) every shot is 18 inches low at 50 yards? I have no issues shooting rifles and can easily put every shot in the center of the target with an AR-15 but this rifle seems to be very inaccurate and I don't see many options for adjusting the rear sight...what am I missing - and don't say my glasses:)

    Thanks,

Maybe the rifle wasn't adjusted at the factory or the adjustment screws were left loose. I had to adjust the sights on my patrol rifle when I first shot it.

**Just looked at a picture of it and the sights are different. I don't know why I was thinking they were similar but it could just need adjustment.

Ah, I think I just figured it out...I'm off to the range to test and will post my findings when I get back from testing.

    Thanks for the reply.

Not a problem. Can you do me a favor? I've been trying to find out the screw spacing on the rail for the scout. Can you take a pic over top of the rail showing the screws and the measurements from the front receiver screw to the barrel screws?
