Ok, so it's only a Taurus - but we don't get much choice over here.

Still, it's a lot of fun to shoot.

That there is a metallic silhouette pistol or a pin gun. Very nice and uncommon as all hell.

I guess you would tie your holster off at the knee. As a boy I had a Colt 22lr Buntline 12 inch barrel, that was were it tied off.:)

    Ha ha - not quite...

On a related note, don't suppose anyone knows of a source for IPSC / competition holsters for these things?

Well, with my wife. She's spirited but I wouldn't call her the devil... at least not in any way that she's going to have evidence of that proclamation available. I don't want the bottom cut out of all my socks.

Well, you don't see any Batwings in the sky, do you?

    You're welcome! :)

Reportedly Mr. Ned Buntline the old west lawman favored the long barrel revolver as much for it's practical accuracy and power in hunting game as he did for it's usefulness in giving a little scalp massage to persuade combative miscreants to behave peaceably.

I busted few pins with a 8 3/8ths inch barreled S&W K-38. The long tubes do shoot nice.
