    User Review:

After using it during a "tac rifle" match I found that you need to practice mag changes and relearn how to do it. If there is any downward pressure on the magazine such as rounds still in the mag and bolt forward the mag will not release. I've found that you have to push up on the mag push the mag release then remove the mag

I grab the empty mag with a "beer can" grip which places my forefinger on the mag release then apply slight upward pressure while pressing the mag release at the same time then pull the mag out and go for a new one off the belt.

Overall I like it. Once you get used to it, it helps speed up mag changes a good bit. My only gripe so far is there is a little bit of "give" or flex to the "paddle" when under pressure.

Mine seemed to almost just drop out. I could just be variance on the my rifle to yours. Then again, I can't recall if I tried to remove a partially loaded magazine or not now that I think of it. I could be completely off base...

for "Downs" and his "user review"

Mine was doing the exact thing as yours. I ended up pulling the well and found that the retaining pin/pivot was not fully seated. Once I seated the pin all the way down it worked like butter.

YMMV but it may be something to look at.

Robert, Could you send me a PM as well with the details of your 2 products? I have a MVP Predator .308 that I'll be working on it once I get back from my tour in South Korea. Thanks

I haven't had any response from my request back in July; appears they may no longer be available.

It appears the CHP may no longer be around. It's been a while since we have seen anything from them. Last word was they were having issues with getting parts made.

It is. I hope it's just a temporary set back and they will be back around. They sell some great parts at a reasonable price.

    Got this reply from Baccus:

    Hi Al,

I've gotten several inquiries for this. However because of the factory release space constraints, it does not allow for a 'slip over' type of installation like for the 5.56. This will require a complete new release lever whereas there would have to be some disassembly to install it. I do not have that machining capability.
    Thanks for your inquiry,
    Dwaine
