For those of us less savvy and (in my case) all thumbs, is there an instructional video or how to anyplace showing how to replace the extractor? Haven't had any problems thus far, but just in case. TIA

Not that I've ever seen. Not a bad idea to make one though.

It cracks me up..everytime I buy something I do my research and find the issues AFTER I bought.
I guess I'll need to stock up on extractors too

Buy twice as many springs and balls as you do extractors, because the first time you attempt it you'll shoot a ball and spring across the room, ricocheting off your forehead, only to find it a year later with the vacuum cleaner. In fact the first couple times you attempt disassembly/reassembly with no spares, suggest doing it inside a plastic baggie. Not a difficult task at all but its easy to lose parts.

Seriously, follow this advice. ^^^ It will otherwise be a bad day.

The detent ball is not missing, spring is just fine and the original extractor is not broken. There IS something else wrong.

I'd like to buy two more extractors for a 5.56 Patrol. Can't find the PM button with my 4g web access. Thanks

We haven’t heard from Robert in a long time. I think he may have moved on from making MVP parts.
