I was remounting my scope rail after it came loose and when I grabbed the bolt to feed it in and store the gun, it did something strange and rotated and clicked. I wasn't really paying attention and slid it in. It wouldn't rotate and close and when I tried to remove the bolt I noticed it was in sideways....what the hell? I managed to tug it out and then noticed that it was in the fired position. I managed to get it back to the return position, but it still won't rotate down and close when inserted. Anybody have any clue what is going on? There is nothing in the way it seems, but I gave it good hard push and it's not budging at all from the up position.

I'm in Canada and sending this in will be a nightmare.

Just a stab in the dark but how does that pin on the bottom of the bolt look? Flush or sticking out? It actually runs all the way through and I'm pretty sue it holds the head to the bolt but is known to work it's way down sometimes.

you may have a screw thats too long on your rail. check the 2nd screw in from the front. just loosen it and try the bolt. you should be able to see and feel the rear screws

RoyP, thanks for the tip. I backed off the screw and she worked fine. I then realized that the long screws go on the back of the rail and the short in the front.....and that last night when I loctited the rail, I put it on backwards. The flat part goes to the back and the curved to the front. We have a new baby and I must have been half asleep. I really appreciate the help guys. It's all back together and working fine.
