So today I was trolling McMillan web site drooling over m1a stocks and I run across a new product notice on their page about stocks for the mvp 5.56 . I find that interestng and it shows the mvp is catching on even with some of the higher end vendors .

The receiver on the MVP is just about as good as any other factory unit. Not surprised at all that the MVP has growing support. Not a lot of options out there for using mags from modern battle/sporting rifles in bolt guns but it's super handy to have. Have the receiver trued and slap a better barrel on a .308 or .223 MVP and you've got a heck of a little match gun and it's made to take more than 10 round mags so it's a natural in modern practical rifle matches. I'm pretty critical of the fit, finish and manufacturing precision of Mossberg's entire line right now and the MVP is no exception but I see no reason why anyone should look down their nose at one. Besides with the number of them that have been sold, every accessory maker in the world would be foolish not to bring something out for it and take their scoop of that money pile.

A search on McMillan's site produces nothing for the Mossberg or MVP or Mossberg MVP... must have been short lived. :(

You could probably contact them and see if it's something they can do. If they did it at one point I can't see them just throwing away the work that they did with it at one point. A lot of people are probably not going to drop the money on a stock for a gun like this, the trend these days seems as if it's going towards chassis systems.
