It was a rem heavy varmint. Woody had to machine down the action side so it would fit.
I just removed the trigger from my action and getting ready to disassemble the bolt to fit in the tube to mail off on Monday. As much as I would like to have a nice thick bull barrel put on the MVP action, the medium bull barrel should do fine for hunting and punching paper holes
Did you know MDT is developing the TAC21 chassis for the MVP? Not sure when it's coming out but it will be a close cal between choosing that or the HS3-
It was a HV contour
I would be interested in having my MVP action trued and new barrel
Installed much like what was done to Robert Lynch's rifle sometime in
near future. Will you take a Canadian order? I'm hopeing our dollar
Improves a little first. Almost 30% exchange now.
Funny you should mention that…because that's exactly what I have in mind, as soon as I get a few projects cleared up and taken care of…I am thinking a 6.5 Creedmoor with a 24" Precision Research carbon fiber barrel…I should probably send the action in right now, but I am waiting for MDT to release their HS 3 chassis, so I will have all the parts for my build in hand…old habit from hot-rodding days…I can't tell you how many projects were sold/abandoned unfinished because all the sudden some part was no longer available...
I am wondering if it is possible for a dealer/gun smith to purchase the action and bolt alone, and do a build such as this. Seems like a waste to toss the barrel, stock and trigger just to get the action...
