Hey y'all. Checking in from the greater Charleston area. Picked up a 5.56 Patrol not too long ago. I'm a one-caliber guy and usually just stick to building my AR's but saw this and jumped on it. Of course, the Mossberg magazine fits fine but I tried all of my GI mags but none of them fit snug. I also have several P-Mags, and they fit and feed great. Only thing I don't like is the composite stock so I'll see if I can't find a factory varmint stock or buy a Boyd's stock.
Anyway, I live here but I'm a proud and loud Texan. 28 year Army/Army Reserve NCO looking to retire soon. Well, unless we end up going against Lil' Kim down the road. Love my flag and my guns, Jeeps, family, and my German Shepherd.
    See ya at the range.
    Chris

Wood or polymer, personal preference. My 7.62 Patrol came with a wood stock and my 5.56 Patrol came with a polymer one. I like both and both are solid but I do tend to like the wood stock a bit better even if there isn't a performance difference. Welcome to the forum and enjoy!

Polymer is what it came with, but I like the feel of wood more. I like varmint stocks because of the more vertical grip. Easier to grip in the prone.

The grip angle, I can see. One has to fit the rifle to the trigger hand. I've been blessed with not having an issue with that but for some, it can be a problem. One can't shoot well if the rifle doesn't fit.
