I got the home built out to the range and zeroed. Just iron sights for now but useable. Not my best grouping, especially since it was only at 50 yards. The trigger could be better but that and an optic will come later.

50 yards with 55gr American Eagle

25 yards - i need to work on my close quarters hold over.

I should add that the barrel has a 1:7 twist, so the bullets may be a bit light for the rifle.

I might have to check that out and so some surface polishing on what I got. Thanks!

Drop some 77 grainers in there and I betcha' that group settles right down. Pretty rifle. Nice and clean, functional. No tactical barbie necessary.

Thanks! Other than doing something with the trigger, getting an optic and a sling, there isn't anything else going on it. With the rifling the barrel has (1:7), I was planning on going heavy with the bullets. I was just curious to see how 55gr bullets would do. I'm figuring it will do best with something in the 69-77gr range. If I get around to it, I might see about picking up some 80gr bullets just for kicks. I'm not sure if I will have to hand feed them or not but it will be interesting regardless.

oh I know Im late to the party but a 1/7 will shoot 55 grain just fine . the ammo your shooting is not what I would be using for accuracy testing 2 moa would be good with ball ammo.

American Eagle? You are certainly correct! It was more of a just because and to see how it would do. My expectations for the rifle is that it will be 1-2 MOA accurate. Less than 1 would be a bonus and a surprise. It's far from a custom precision rifle for sure.
