Got a chance to get out to the range today. First time out since hunting season is over and I can just shoot instead of zeroing for hunting season. Just using some stuff I had sitting around got quite a bit of good groups for what I was shooting. It was also very windy today and you hang your targets on a piece of chicken wire fencing strung between two 4x4s. All of these are sub 1 inch and any load data written on the targets are to be used at your own risk.

Looks like you found a load. Is your action bedded? If not, maybe bed the action and lug and it should tighten up. Nice groups.

It's bedded, this is my Savage and it's in a Manners stock which they bedded and has an upgraded recoil lug. It is still a factory barrel though.

Vertical dispersion is really small with that 69gn load and pretty bad with the factory load (no surprise) but the clustering in horizontal with the 69 loads and pretty good horizontal dispersion with the factory load is making me scratch my head. With a fully bedded stock even. Much wind that day? I'm thinking if possible pull out that occasional horizontal clustering on the 69's and you have a combo that looks like it'll reliably shoot dimes and I'll be jealous.

Yes it was very windy, blew my hat off walking back from putting up targets. I got to shoot again today, I'll try and load up the targets that were decent.

I always tune out vertical with charge weight and horizontal with jump.

For now I'm just shooting what I have on hand. I had to put my reloading stuff away until we get more space, aka move. I'll be trying out the Freedom Munitions 69 gr ammo when I get some more cash flow or run out of the 55 gr stuff.

If you have an understanding wife like me, if you have a large master bathroom load in it. We moved from a four bedroom to a three and I am using one wall of the master bath as my loading room. This is just until my son moves out in two months, then I get that room.

She is understanding of my hobbies for the most part. We just live in a tiny little town house for now. I'm going to try and get her to swap our hobby rooms so I can have more room. It'll give me a space for my computer and a reloading bench again. I tried to keep it all together but there was no room between the bench and the desk.
