I got shipped to Dallas for the week for work and I'm bored as hell after work. Hotel TV sucks giant donkey nuts (the donkey being giant, not just the nuts). Anyone want to meet at Mignon in Plano sometime this week for a beer?

Texas for those that haven't been is sorta what you might expect. They have all of the land and so they decided to be excessive about how it's used. This is the most spread out place in the universe. If you come to Texas, rent a car. DO NOT USE UBER. You'll go broke on Uber and cabs. It's also full of mostly friendly folks so far. Well, until you get to driving near any major business park. Then everyone on the road acts like they're from California. Once you're out of the car and talking to humans at close range again they usually turn back into decent folks. I suspect Texas imports a hell of a lot of tech workers at those business parks which would splain' a good bit.

shoot me an email if you want to get together. ballisticxlr at gmail.

Any of the super large cities (for Texas anyway) isn't a good representation of the rest of the state. Dallas, Houston, El Paso ect suck. No way around it.

And yeah public transportation Is a foreign concept there unless you're in downtown proper.

It's a full day 1200 mile drive from Beaumont to El Paso. When i drive home from San Diego half the 21 hour trip is in Texas haha.

Beaumont to El Paso? You just couldn't stand to be anywhere that looked different from the place you were just in huh... ;) Flat desert on one side, low uninviting hills on the other.
