Received my CHP Aluminum Trigger Guard in the mail very quickly. Finish and production grade is very well done. Below are pictures of the aluminum trigger guard (right) compared to the stock plastic trigger guard (left)

Assembly was easy. The bolt insertion required a bit more downward force to get the threads to catch while screwing it in.

    All assembled:

I would totally recommend this item for anyone interested.

look forward to other innovations from this company.

    Robert,
I received the 7.62 trigger guard. Thumbs up!! Very quick service, impressive design, and excellent quality. It mounted tight and looks great. Now I can tap on the trigger guard and get that familiar sound of metal "tink tink," rather than that sound of plastic "thud thud." This is a great upgrade to the MVP Predator 7.62. Keep me posted on the extended mag release. Thanks and Happy New Year. Rick

I'm not sure if anyone else ran into this or not but I had to open up the front hole of the trigger guard to get it to fit over the stand off in the 5.56 Patrol plastic stock. Not hard to do or a real problem. I'm just making sure it's known that there is a possibility you may need to do it. Otherwise, a great product just like everything else I've gotten from CHP's product line. I've read that the older models had a wooden stock like my 7.62 but the one I got was plastic, so I suppose the addition of a stand off spacer was needed to beef up that area for the machine screw. The guard was installed wide side forward like illustrated in the pictures and how it was installed on my 7.62.

Keith, how far out does it extend? Both of mine were flush, but that was the wood stock.
