I got out for an early coyote hunt this morning and came up empty handed. The weather conditions weren't ideal, but I have been cooped up at the house for the last 4 weekends and needed to get out. It was 17 deg. with a 10 - 15 mph wind. I don't think my long range calling was real effective in the wind and they are mating right now so it is kinda hit or miss. Any body else having any success coyote hunting?

Not much here, when the weather starts to warm up and they start their mating I usually stay home or kill crows.

I'm not complaining due to the luck I've had this season.
1st dog - pull trigger at 55yrds and "CLICK" yup no round in the chamber
    2nd dog - missed at 60yrd
3rd dog - Big BLACK blob in my scope, had to shoot to scare them before they jacked my decoy - 2 dogs came in on this one after my buddy shot and missed another like 20 secs earlier.
4th dog - head shot just outside the right eye at 120yrds

That is what I love about hunting! Sometimes your a Rock Star and other time your a Joker! All the preparation in the world won't help if you can't somehow create the opportunity. I bow hunt alot, so I am used to the highs and lows.

I got my first yote this am with the trusty MVP. Saw three dogs i took a shot at one at 525 yards and missed. Little windy. This one snuck up behind me with another dog. I love this gun.

My confidence level is up and I have 2 on the deck. Gonna head out after the snow storm in a few days on another field we've been successful.
