So about 18 months ago I helped a guy out with a 300 blackout , he couldnt make it work but I did , so a few months ago he shows up with a new sabre defense 20 inch goverment profile barrel with a 1/7 twist and gave it to me for helping him . I had an a2 buttstock buffer tube buffer and spring plus a set of handguards and gas tube so I got on ebay and sold an old motorcycle riding jacket and a pretty nice helmet . Ended up with 450 .00 so I went to my favorite blackrifle store and and they had anderson stripped uppers and lowers 105.00 for the set I bought the rest of the componenets and ended up spending 372.00 for a complete 20 inch rifle . I then traded a remington 597 22mag which I had 200.00 in for an atn aries 440 night vision scope gen 2 . the rifle will shoot about 1.5 moa with barnes 62 grain tsx. Im planning on putting the hurt on some yotes when deer season is over .

    Opinion on the Anderson parts?

I have a couple builds in process using their stuff.

everything fit together just fine . I rubbed some oil on the recievers and the finish matched up good . I think they are pretty good value for the money.

I like the parts I have.

Wife is giddy about me building a rifle just for her.

Nice looking rifle. Very cool of the guy, to bring you a barrel.

I've been contemplating picking up a few Anderson receivers to stick away (less then $50 each these day's) and do a couple of budget builds. To also stick away. Been hesitant though, I've read mixed reviews on quality. Good to know that they are GTG.

My first Anderson build is complete. Fit and finish of the upper and lower is pretty good. It went together with no issues and functional tests good. First live round down the pipe will be after christmas. The wife gets the privilege as it is hers.

Already have parts in the pipeline for the next build. Anderson does cut uppers and lowers for at least one of the big ones.

CS has been great. Website is a bit slow. They do not charge your card until it ships.

a BF order was picked and shipped on monday and delivered on thursday.
a CM order was picked and shipped tuesday and delivered on friday.

I've used Aero Precision and Stag Arms for the builds I've done so far. I'd like to do a high end build too. Looking at Northtech Defense billet receiver set. Or maybe Spikes Hellbreaker receiver, with a billet upper.

One of these days I'll make up my mind. I will though, be snagging up on a few Anderson receiver sets. Better then money in the bank.

Last Saturday I picked up two Spike's Punished lowers. They were a decent enough buy and $30 cheaper then my LGS.

First of my Anderson builds (wife got this one) is done. Fit and finish is pretty darn good compared to my M&P. The second Anderson is in work.

Great people to deal with. They have a nice LE/Mil discount. Fast out the door after you order also.

Good info to know! I wish the LGS would drop their prices a little. They are going between $75 -$100.

Nice job! Yotes are on my menu for the rest of the winter here in CT. Less yotes = more deer.

Aero Precision makes top of the line stuff. I have an older AR-15 from them, great fit and finish!

I just picked up an Anderson as well and looking to put together a 6.5 grendel. Anyone have any experience with that caliber? I like the idea of 100 grain bullets at 2500-2700fps. Or so i have read. Also hear they work well as an intermediate between 308 and 5.56 and give pretty good ability to make hits out to 8-900 yards.
