Now that ammo is either sold out/backordered or ridiculously priced at most places, do you think you have enough? How much is enough? Do you hoard ammo for situations like this and what calibers do you value the most?

I am in the process of loading 500 .380 rounds for my wife! Never have enough. I have 500 more .45 ACP to reload with 185gr JHP and 200gr JHP for my Taurus 24/7. Great shooting gun and no problems.

I load .38spl and .45acp, but draw the line at trying to load 9mm with my fat fingers so that's what I try to keep a good supply of - well, that and .22lr.

I have a Dillon progressive reloader and as long as I keep it stocked with cases, powder, primers and bullets- it will will crank out a reloaded case with every pull of the handle. Check them out--great company to work with.

I guess I'm guilty of hoarding ammo. Here in California you never know what's going to happen as far as availability and shipping restrictions, so when I see a good deal I jump on it.
It sounds like a lot, but my goal is to have roughly 5k rounds for my AK 47, 1000 for my 30-30, 3k of 22lr (I have two kids that shoot, with two Marlin 795's and a single action 22lr revolver),
I'm already starting to get .223 Rem and 556 for my MVP Patrol (which I pick up next week), I'm hoping to maintain about 3k rounds in the next two months.
9mm I like to keep about 2k rounds, and .38 special about a thousand rounds.
    So, I guess I'm a hoarder.
I won't even mention what I keep for my M1 Carbine and Garand, okay I may have an addiction problem lol.

I hoard everything I shoot and wont shoot it unless I can do so without dropping below my minimum stock. Hoard as in collect and save, not as in go buy like 433439048349 rounds at a time so others cant.

I just pick up a little here and there.

I generally hover around 8000 rounds in my stock across several calibers, but that fluctuates. I know that isnt very much, but it sure as hell is more than i can carry in the event that SHTF.

I like to keep a good supply of ammo especially for the ones I have a carbine/rifle in same caliber.

I don't consider myself a "hoarder'', but, over the past 12-24 months, i would pick up ammo off and on, no huge amounts, and, i DID NOT buy in huge quantity's. I just filled in some gaps. So, i'm in pretty good shape ammo wise, and reloading supplies as well. Since the big ''grab'' started, i haven't bought but one can of ammo.

I would also say that I'm more of a collector... I always bought when available and just stuck it on the self... .22lr that is... I guess I probably had 10,000 rounds at one point.

I figured that I had enough and had a few friends that didn't have any so I sold some to them, not realizing that we were in a .22lr crisis.

Now if I go to the store and have extra cash in my pocket I'll buy the amount that is allowed, providing it's in stock.

.22LR and .45ACP for me. More 22LR but that is only because it is cheaper.

Well I found a local dealer that has "some" .22lr in stock, it not cheap but not to the point of taking it in the shorts to bad... About double what it was 12 years ago...

$50.00 for a brock of Norma, $46.00 for a brick of Federal 550's (what I have in my cupboard), $4.00 for a 50 pk of Federal RNL and $10.00 for CCI's...

I have a few dollars laying around, do I dare buy some more?
